Excellent product. There are many similar products on the market. The confusion lies in the Secure Digital (SD) card sizes. They are:
1. Micro SD: Usually used with cell phones. It is the smallest and most commonly used media for these types of devices.
2. Mini SD: Once common, it is now difficult to find as many manufacturer’s now focus on either Micro SD or Standard SD sized cards. A few newer devices (like the Canon HV30 HD video camera) still use this media.
3. Standard SD: Most digital cameras/camcorders that utilize some form of Secure Digital (SD) memory card will utilize this size (over Micro SD and Mini SD). This is also the standard size card that fits into most computers, laptops, etc.
I specifically needed one that could be used as an adapter for a Mini SD card. In essence, taking a Mini SD card and putting it into a Standard SD adapter so that it could be used with most any computer/laptop. This product does exactly that. And, for me, the Micro SD adapter and USB adapter that came with it were just extras bonuses.
