– Milton Bradley, outfielder for the Seattle Mariners, has been accused of abusing his soon-to-be ex-wife during their five-year marriage, according to the divorce papers.
Among the abuse claims, Monique Bradley is accusing her husband of throwing a glass at her that hit her on the head and caused her to bleed.
This incident allegedly happened on New Year’s Eve while the couple was staying at a hotel without their two children.
According to the divorce papers, Monique claims that, “Milton cursed and yelled at me for approximately five minutes and then he grabbed a glass from off the coffee table and threw it directly at my head from across the room. The glass shattered on my head and I started to bleed. As soon as Milton saw me bleeding, he started crying and begging me to forgive him. He stated that he lost it and that he would kill himself if I left him. I did not know what to do.”
The report also stated that hotel security came and knocked on their door but Milton Bradley claimed that there was nothing going on. Monique did not go to the hospital to be treated for her wounds.

Monique later filed a restraining order against Milton which led to his arrest on a “criminal threats” charge in January, of which he was eventually cleared. She is now seeking legal custody of their children.
Following the arrest, Mariners’ general manager Jack Zduriencik issued a statement saying that Bradley would still remain on the team.
